I'm currently enjoying my week of break between field positions--just finished up my second season nest searching in Poland, and next I'll be banding raptors (and passerines!) at a banding station in the Appalachians.  I'm quite excited especially for the passerines, as I haven't really worked with them in hand too much previously. :)  Life is good!

Visiting family in Southern Nevada this week.  =New birds!  Mountain Chickadee; Great-tailed Grackle; Black-throated Sparrow; Stellar's Jay; Western Scrub Jay; Juniper Titmouse, etc.  Having a great time in a part of the country I've never explored before.

Thank you very much for the fave:hug:
I'd love to get a chance to do bird banding like you did.
Looks like a fantastic learning experience!
It certainly was!!
(looks at profile)
so you're into rehabbing?
that also sounds like a great (if not depressing at times) experience!
Yea, I've been working as a rehabber for 2 years. It's an amazing experience but at times can be rather depressing.
